Improved over-the-air software download
2.0 Beta now supported on the Symbian OS (i.e., Nokia phones with Java CLDC 1.0 or higher and MIDP 2.0 or higher)
To install QuoTrek 2.0 Beta on your BlackBerry or Java-enabled wireless device using the Over-the-Air (OTA) method, enter www.quote.mobi into the browser of your device. Go to the Downloads section and choose QuoTrek 2.0 Beta. It will prompt you to verify that you want to install the application. Respond "Yes", and, if all goes well, it will install on your wireless device.
All BlackBerry handheld devices with RIM OS 4.0 or higher and many of the new Java-enabled wireless devices are compatible with QuoTrek 2.0 Beta. To see if your Java-enabled device is compatible with QuoTrek 2.0 Beta, go to the SUN Java J2ME device list.
When you run QuoTrek 2.0 Beta for the first time on a BlackBerry, you will be asked to allow the socket connection. Scroll down and check "http connections" (with the spacebar) and then hit "Return" on "Allow this connection". To run QuoTrek 2.0 Beta on your Java-enabled device, you'll need Java CLDC 1.0 or higher and MIDP 2.0 or higher.
To install QuoTrek on your PDA using the In-the-Cradle method, place the unit in the
cradle, click on the installation program and follow the installation
instructions on your PC.

There are two types of Microsoft Windows Mobile
devices, those that run a version of the Windows
Mobile Pocket PC OS and others that are more like
handsets using the Windows Mobile Smartphone platform.
Currently, QuoTrek works on almost all Windows
Mobile Pocket PC PDAs running Windows Mobile 2005,
2003 Second Edition, 2003 and 2002.
We are providing here a selected list of Pocket
PC devices that have been tested and are known
to be compatible with QuoTrek. If you don’t
see your device in this list, and it is running
Windows Mobile Pocket PC or Smartphone platform
2005 or 2003 Second Edition, most likely, QuoTrek
will work on it. Most of the newer PDAs are based
on Intel XScale microarchitecturerun, and QuoTrek
works well on these newer devices.

Currently, QuoTrek works on most of the newer Palm
devices, running Palm OS 4.0 and Palm OS 5.0. The
biggest single change in Palm OS 5 is that it runs
on a new hardware platform, using ARM®-compliant
processors from industry leaders, such as Intel,
Motorola and Texas Instruments.
Because Palm OS 5 is a fully ARM-native, 32-bit operating
system running on new hardware, it allows dramatic
improvements in speed and capability for the platform
and the software.

All BlackBerry handhelds listed here are compatible

QuoTrek - Personal is for Non-BES BlackBerry handhelds.
And, so far, AT&T Wireless, Cingular, O2 (UK),
Rogers Canada, T-Mobile (U.S. and UK) and Vodafone
(Germany, Spain and UK), Orange (Switzerland), Swisscom (Switzerland) are the only supported carriers.

Data delivery performance will be
affected by the speed of the carrier service you use
with your particular hardware. The data you'll receive
will be as real-time as is possible, given current wireless
capabilities. As those capabilities improve, so will
the speed of the market datafeed.

smaller compared to that of other devices. A larger

here once it becomes available.
